As well as our regular courses, we also offer both bespoke Twilight and INSET courses. Our Twilight courses consist of two three-hour sessions, enabling you to engage with the content of the course outside of the working day.
Team Teach Positive Behaviour Training Level 1

Team Teach Positive Behaviour Training provides a holistic approach to managing behaviour when working with both children and adults. With a strong focus on teamwork and communication to foster supportive working practices and recognise the needs of distressed individuals, the aim of this training is to help you and your setting to build strong relationships and transform challenging situations into positive outcomes.
TWILIGHT - Team Teach Positive Behaviour Training Level 1

People Moving and Handling
Date: Dates available throughout 2025 - 2026
Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
People Moving and Handling is, by definition, the transportation or supporting of an individual (including lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving) by hand or bodily force. Our trainers are largely experienced in supporting moving and handling techniques for learners with a physical disability within a range of SEND and mainstream settings. This course ensures that young people are safely supported in a respectful way, but equips those who are providing support with adequate skills and knowledge to do this while also protecting themselves.
Paediatric First Aid
Date: Dates available throughout 2025 - 2026
Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
Our highly practical Paediatric First Aid Level 3 course also qualifies participants to administer first aid to infants, children and young persons up to the age of 18.
This course is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it is been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders. Participants will receive a comprehensive fully illustrated training book that they able take away with them.
Upon competition, participants will receive a certification issued by Nuco which is an Ofqual and SQA regulated awarding organisation. Both days must be attended in order to obtain this qualification.
First Aid at Work - Level 3
Date: 21st - 23rd October 2025
Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
These sessions covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. Participants will receive a comprehensive fully illustrated training book that they able take away with them.
Upon completion, participants will receive a certification issued by Nuco which is an Ofqual and SQA regulated awarding organisation. All three days must be attended in order to obtain this qualification.
Total Communication

Communication is a fundamental human right essential for building relationships, expressing thoughts, sharing ideas, and participating in society. It enables learning, personal growth, and informed decision-making.
Total Communication uses various methods such as sign, speech, listening, writing, and visual aids to meet individual communication needs and abilities. Focusing on Signing, Symbols and Adult/ Child Interactions, this session has been designed to equip participants with a comprehensive set of communication tools and strategies to effectively meet an individual’s unique needs.
Supporting SEND Learners

Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
Supporting SEND Learners has been designed to develop your awareness and extend your skills in supporting teaching and learning for pupils with additional needs.
Our trainers are largely experienced with working in a variety of educational settings from Early Years to Key Stage 3, supporting pupils with a range of needs
including Autism, PMLD, PD, SLD and CLDD. Drawing from research and practical experience Sara has a strong background in supporting practitioners in both mainstream and SEND settings through outreach, inreach, talks and interactive sessions.
Developing Interaction

Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
During this course, our skilled trainers provide an introduction on developing engagement and interaction skills focusing on the intervention ‘Intensive Interaction’. This approach is used to support the development of communication skills in individuals with significant communication and learning needs.
It emphasises the importance of building meaningful interactions through mirroring, responsive movements, and vocalisations to create a shared, enjoyable experience between two people, helping to develop a trusting and responsive relationship. It can be tailored to each individual’s unique communication needs and aims to create a positive, interactive environment that promotes social and communicative development.
Supporting Autistic Learners
Date: Dates in September & November 2025
Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
Ever wondered why the most noise sensitive pupils are the noisiest in your classroom? How can you promote positive interaction, reduce anxiety and increase engagement? This Supporting Autistic Learners session has been designed to give practitioners an insight into autism and how to enable pupils to reach their full potential.
Our trainers have several years of experience working in a variety of educational settings – from Early Years to Key Stage 3 in both mainstream and SEND settings. In this time they have supported students with a range of needs including Autism, PMLD, PD, SLD and CLDD.
Early Talk Boost
Date: 24th October 2025
Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
Early Talk Boost is a targeted programme aimed at 3-4 year old children who need help with talking and understanding words. Most importantly, the programme helps to boost their language skills to narrow the gap between them and their peers.
The programme aims to accelerate children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 5 months after 9 weeks. Children who are selected to take part in the programme will attend three sessions per week during circle/story time, each lasting 15-20 minutes delivered by an early years practitioner.
The sessions include activities that cover the foundation skills in speech, language and communication that children need for learning and understanding new words, as well as having conversations.
Talk Boost KS1 (Ages 4-7)
Date: 9th October 2025
Location: The Chamwell Centre, located on The Milestone School Campus - Gloucester
Talk Boost KS1 is a targeted programme for 4-7 year old children that need help with talking and understanding words, including children in Reception classes. It provides a structured programme that boosts children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 9 – 18 months after a ten week intervention.
Children who are selected to take part in the programme will attend three sessions per week in small groups, each lasting 30-40 minutes delivered by the teaching assistant. Sessions include activities that cover the key elements of language: Attention and Listening, Vocabulary, Building Sentences, Telling Stories and Conversations.
In addition, the teacher will run a weekly whole-class activity and there are activities that can be further practiced at home.
